CENTRAL QUESTIONS
The residency may support questions such as:
– What forms of knowledge are produced through making, testing, activation, maintenance, and public encounter?
– How do bodies, materials, technologies, spaces, and environments condition artistic thought?
– How do tools, interfaces, protocols, and systems distribute agency and responsibility?
– When does technical instability become artistically productive, and when does it indicate an unresolved failure?
– How can prototyping function as a critical and analytical method?
– How are authorship, ownership, labor, care, and accountability negotiated within interdisciplinary collaboration?
– Which publics are anticipated by a work, and which are excluded by its assumptions or conditions?
– How may a project remain open to transformation while retaining conceptual and formal precision?
– How do experimental practices reproduce or contest institutional and technological norms?
– What relations may emerge through grounding, composition of mind, and [emancipatory practices]?
These questions are indicative rather than mandatory. They define the level of artistic, methodological, technical, and ethical inquiry the residency is designed to sustain.
