ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT

The residency is designed to support participants in:

– Creating new works or substantially developing existing projects

– Clarifying the artistic questions, methods, and contexts of their practices

– Testing the relation between conceptual propositions and material realization

– Receiving detailed artistic, technical, performative, and production feedback

– Refining sonic, spatial, material, interactive, computational, and presentational dimensions

– Developing more precise methods of collaboration, documentation, and public mediation

– Examining the ethical, ecological, institutional, and political implications of technologies and materials

– Understanding prototyping, rehearsal, maintenance, and testing as components of artistic inquiry

– Preparing projects for public presentation within an international festival

Artistic development proceeds through sustained activity, dialogue, experimentation, critique, revision, and engagement with others. The residency values clarified methods and transformed assumptions alongside publicly presentable outcomes.
